Norwegian is launching 239 routes for the summer half of 2023 and 51 of these are from Sweden.
–We are pleased to present the traffic program for the next summer season. With an extensive range of routes with many departures within and between the Nordic countries, as well as to popular destinations throughout Europe, we further strengthen our position as a leading airline in the Nordics. We look forward to a great summer 2023 and to welcoming passengers on board, says Norwegian's CEO Geir Karlsen.
Over the past two years, Norwegian has gradually expanded its fleet as travel demand has returned. During the summer half of 2023, Norwegian expects to fly with 85 aircraft, which is 15 more aircraft than in the summer of 2022. With the larger fleet, Norwegian can offer more departures on the most popular routes and thus increase flexibility for customers when planning their trips. In both Sweden and Denmark, this applies to 51 routes for the next summer half of the year.
Norwegian is closely monitoring the development of air travel demand, which means that the route offering may be adjusted in the future.
–I am pleased that in recent years we have been able to gradually increase capacity as demand for travel has increased. For the summer of 2023, we are therefore planning to once again expand the range of air travel, continues Geir Karlsen.
A total of 239 bookable routes for the summer half of 2023 are now available on www.norwegian.com. The lines are distributed as follows in the Nordic countries:
- Sweden: 51 lines
- Denmark 51 lines
- Norway 131 lines
- Finland: 17 lines
The summer program operates between March and October 2023. The number of lines per country does not result in 239 lines in total and this is because lines that run between two countries are counted in both countries.
