This is the fifth consecutive year that Norwegian has won the SkyTrax World Airline Awards, the most prestigious and recognized award in the aviation industry.
It is the passengers themselves who evaluate the different airlines and vote for the winners.
– I am very pleased that we have once again been named the world's best low-cost airline on long-haul routes. I would like to extend a big thank you to our passengers around the world who have voted for Norwegian. This would never have been possible without all our dedicated colleagues both in the air and on the ground who do their utmost every day, year-round, to give our customers the best possible experience. This is further confirmation that our passengers appreciate low prices, good service and newer, more environmentally friendly aircraft, says Norwegian's CEO Bjørn Kjos.
– Norwegian has become a favorite among customers
“This award is a recognition of the fantastic work that Norwegian employees do every day for customers. Norwegian's low-cost concept has become a favorite among customers and this award is confirmation of that,” says Edward Plaisted, CEO of SkyTrax.

Bjørn Kjos received the award in Paris today together with colleagues from Norwegian.
