Norwegian is postponing the delivery of a total of 16 ordered aircraft.

This is stated in a press release.

Arctic Aviation Assets, a subsidiary of Norwegian, has agreed with Boeing to postpone deliveries of twelve 737 Max aircraft. According to Norwegian, the measure will reduce investment costs related to upfront payments in 2019. Investment costs are also expected to decrease significantly in 2020.

Arctic Aviation has also agreed with Airbus to postpone deliveries of four 321LR aircraft, which will now be delivered in 2020 instead of 2019.

When Norwegian presented its new share issue plans on January 29, the company highlighted postponing aircraft deliveries as a way to lower investment costs.
