The Norwegian group Olsen Gruppen has started a new Swedish airline called Air Leap, based in Stockholm.

The company will focus on the Scandinavian market.

Air Leap/Olsen Gruppen recently acquired the aviation operations from NextJet's bankruptcy estate.

An application for a new AOC and operating license has been submitted to the Swedish Transport Agency.

On June 11, Air Leap will begin operating the Mariehamn/Åland – Stockholm/Arlanda route.
