A person has been arrested with suspected bomb detonators at Dublin Airport, according to Irish Independent.

There are concerns that the incident is linked to the cyberattack on airports around Europe, according to security sources.

Irish police have arrested a person on Dublin's airport after suspected explosive devices were found in the person's luggage. 

According to the Irish Independent, citing security sources, the person was on a flight from London Heathrow to JFK Airport, via Dublin.

The incident caused a very large security effort and the airport was evacuated during the morning. The Swedish Armed Forces' bomb squad has reportedly been asked to go to the airport if necessary. 

”"This has been taken very seriously and will cause major disruption for the rest of the day," a source told the newspaper. 

Knocked out check-in and boarding

During the day, airports around Europe were exposed to a massive cyberattack. Among the airports affected are London Heathrow, Brussels Airport and Berlin. 

According to the newspaper, there is concern that the incident in Dublin has links to the attack. 

According to Brussels Airport, the cyberattack was directed at a supplier of check-in and boarding systems. The affected company is said to be Collins Aerospace. 

The attack has caused major delays on Saturday and some flights are being canceled completely.
