Now SJ and Way Out West can announce that they are jointly launching the Green Ticket collaboration to reward those who choose the train.
Green Ticket will be one of the new features at this year's festival where both SJ and Way Out West want to inspire and reward visitors who make active choices and choose to be part of the solution. Visitors who take the train with SJ down to Gothenburg and have a three-day ticket to the festival will be able to pick up an extra band outside the festival area that provides benefits on site.
We want to find new ways to talk about active choices, this will be very concrete. We want to celebrate and lift up those who do good things and reward them and in this way show the way, says Magnus Olsson, project manager from the organizer Luger.
It feels great to be able to show appreciation to our travelers and festival visitors in this way. Our idea is that Green Ticket will get more people to choose the train and become part of the solution., says Pernilla Johansson, project manager at SJ.
Visitors who take part in the Green Ticket will be able to get their own entrance to the area as well as discounts at selected food operators such as Peas of Heaven, El Taco Truck and Stockeld.
On site inside the festival area, SJ welcomes all festival visitors, it will be a new oasis for community. In the new lounge area, visitors will be able to have a coffee, pick up water bottles made from 100% recycled plastic and challenge each other in a sustainability quiz filled with prizes from the festival and SJ.
Way Out West takes place between August 11–13 around central Gothenburg. Tickets for this summer's Way Out West are available to buy now and several ticket categories have already sold out.
