
A record number of people traveled with SJ last year.
But profits fell as a result of the state-owned train company getting rid of commuter train services in Stockholm.
Operating profit for the full year 2017 was SEK 666 million, down from SEK 837 million the year before. In the fourth quarter, profit halved to SEK 181 million, after a strong 2016.
Sales also fell, from SEK 9,336 million to SEK 7,780 million for the full year 2017.
According to the company, 30 million SJ tickets were sold last year, two million more than the year before and also the highest number to date.
