The Swedish Agency for Administrative and Financial Affairs has awarded SAS a new four-year framework agreement for domestic flights, which will enter into force on September 1, 2025. This gives Swedish government agencies the continued opportunity to book domestic travel with SAS.

The tender assessed, among other things, route offering and price. SAS was able to offer 16 of the 17 of the routes requested by Kammarkollegiet, which makes it possible for authorities eligible for call-off to continue to travel with SAS for their domestic flights. The agreement strengthens SAS's position as a long-term and reliable supplier of business travel.

We are proud of the renewed trust from Kammarkollegiet and Swedish authorities and look forward to continuing to welcome travelers in government service on board for a comfortable and efficient journey. SAS not only offers comfortable and efficient journeys, but also has one of Europe's most fuel-efficient fleets, and we are working purposefully to drive the transition towards more sustainable aviation”, says Edward Fotheringham, Vice President Global Sales at SAS.

SAS's focus on domestic traffic since the beginning of 2024 has resulted in a greatly improved network and increased capacity. In April 2025, domestic traffic frequencies are expected to reach 3,000, an increase of 30% compared to the previous year. This growth, which includes the recently opened routes to Halmstad and Kalmar, follows the plans presented at the end of 2024. As Sweden's largest airline, SAS provides high availability and flexibility, both on domestic and international routes.

The Swedish Agency for Economic Affairs and Investments' procurement strengthens SAS's role in the transition towards more sustainable transport solutions. By keeping its aircraft fleet modern, increasing the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and continuously improving efficiency, SAS constantly strives to achieve more sustainable air travel.
