The award for Tourist Entrepreneur of the Year in Kronoberg County 2022 goes to RentBike. The company has taken traditional bike rental to new levels through strong, sustainable local and national collaborations and innovative solutions for a smooth, seamless booking process and experience.
Johan Sundh founded RentBike in Växjö in 2017 and today offers complete solutions related to bike rental, bike packages with luggage transport and bike service. Johan contributes strongly to local cooperation and his bikes are deployed at a large number of tourism companies in the county, as well as at over 40 other destinations in Sweden.
He developed the booking system together with his partner Malin Rosberg Gustafsson, and this made possible, among other things, the electric bike initiative in Destination Åsnen in the summer of 2022. To encourage visitors to use more climate-smart transportation, 40 bikes were distributed across seven locations, so that guests could book their bike with pickup at one location and drop-off at another.
– It is truly an honor to be nominated and win this award. The last five years have included hard work and it is fantastic that it is appreciated and recognized, says Johan Sundh, who sees great potential and many opportunities for the future.

The Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year award in Kronoberg County is presented by Destination Småland and the winner becomes the county's nominee for the national Stora Turismpriset. The Stora Turismpriset 2022 will be presented on November 30 at the Vasateatern in Stockholm for the 29th year in a row and goes to an activity that contributes to developing the tourism industry in an innovative and sustainable way.
