The Swedish Transport Agency published its report on how passengers perceive the price of a taxi ride and how satisfied customers are with the information about the price of a taxi ride.
The survey was conducted during June, July and August in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö at different times of the day, weekdays and weekends, at airports, central stations, hotels and city centres. The survey gives a positive picture of the taxi industry where the vast majority of passengers feel satisfied with both the taxi journey and that the price of the journey is perceived as reasonable.
A little more than half of customers are aware that price information should be on the car, with the lowest awareness in Stockholm and the highest in Gothenburg.
The Swedish Taxi Association welcomes the report which shows that the industry as a whole is perceived positively by customers., says Natalee Ågren, CEO of the Swedish Taxi Association. The association sees that many customers do not know that a price quote can always be obtained before the trip begins. We want more travelers to be aware of this and always request a price quote if they feel unsure about whether the price is fair or not.
