Serious train crash: Several dead – many injured

At least 40 people have been injured and several have died after two passenger trains collided in Andhra Pradesh in southern India.

According to Times of India At least nine people have been confirmed dead. 

Both the emergency services and residents in the area are helping with the rescue work. 

One train is said to have rolled into the station and then crashed into the other, which was standing still.

According to the railway company East Coast Railway (ECoR), it is believed that the driver of one of the trains missed a stop signal.

At the same time, there are reports of chaos at the train station where hundreds of people are stuck because all train traffic has been stopped.
