Low-cost airline Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary sees a more favorable price climate in Europe going forward. He said this in connection with Monday's report conference, where he opened up for more flights to Sweden.

Geographically, Ryanair is prioritizing countries and regions that have abolished or not introduced new aviation taxes. In this context, Michael O'Leary specifically mentions Italy, Hungary and Sweden, as well as airports that are actively promoting growth. This means that Sweden could see increased capacity going forward, as the company reallocates growth to more cost-effective markets.

The Riksdag decided last year that the Swedish aviation tax will be abolished as of July 1.

Ryanair's report this morning showed increased sales but lower operating profit. The company has also flagged higher prices. The stock is up about 3.5 percent on Monday afternoon.
