An SAS plane from New York to Arlanda had to make an emergency landing during the night after a technical fault. The fault resulted in smoky air inside the cabin.
”The flight therefore carried out a precautionary landing in Bangor in accordance with current safety procedures and landed completely normally,” the SAS press service writes in a text message.
The regular aircraft must undergo an inspection according to standard procedures and a new flight for the 264 passengers is booked for later today.
”Passengers and crew are currently staying at hotels awaiting a new aircraft and a new flight will depart from Copenhagen later today to fly over and collect our passengers to Arlanda, SAS writes.
