SAS airline flew 2 million passengers in March, an increase of 5 percent compared to the same month a year earlier, according to SAS's traffic report.
SAS Capacity, measured as ASK, increased by 15 percent while the revenue measure RPK (revenue passenger-kilometre) increased by 20 percent, compared to March 2023. The cabin factor, which measures capacity utilisation, was 79 percent.
The so-called currency-adjusted PASK level, passenger revenue in relation to available seat capacity, was down by 2.3 percent currency-adjusted at the same time.
”We are pleased that 2 million passengers travelled with SAS during March, which includes the Easter holiday this year. During the month, the US court approved SAS's reconstruction plan, which is a major milestone for SAS Forward and gives us a clear path out of the reconstruction proceedings,” commented SAS CEO Anko van der Werff in the traffic report.
