Negotiations between SAS and several pilot associations have stalled. It is reported Dagens Næringsliv

It was in June that the airline SAS, according to SVT laid off 560 pilots who were included in the 5,000 employee layoffs the airline put in place at the end of April due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Norwegian business newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, talks have been held between SAS and several pilot associations about both permanent and temporary cuts, where part of the offer, according to the newspaper, was that more pilots would be allowed to keep their jobs. Negotiations that, according to SAS, led to nothing.

”"There is no further dialogue between the parties after the pilot associations chose not to accept SAS's latest proposal for a solution," writes John Eckhoff, head of communications at SAS, in an email to Dagens Næringsliv.

Christan Laulund, representative of SAS Pilot Group, in an email to Dagens Næringsliv does not want to go into why the proposal was rejected.
