36 flights cancelled and 201 delayed. This was the result after a pair of scissors went missing from a shop near the departures at New Chitose Airport in Japan, according to Japanese media.

The security check at the airport, which is the third busiest in Japan, was suspended for a couple of hours on Saturday, resulting in long queues and temporarily stranded passengers.

But despite the queues, many passengers seemed to be in good spirits. Several users on the platform X are praising the airport's security.

”This incident shows the level of safety of Japanese aviation,” writes a user.

The saxophone was found the following day – in the same shop it disappeared from., BBC reports, but it wasn't announced until Monday. According to the authorities, they first wanted to be absolutely sure that it was the same pair of scissors.
