Scandic is taking over First Hotels' hotel at Arlanda after the bankruptcy, and has signed a 15-year lease agreement with Per Taube.

Scandic has signed an agreement to take over the operation of a hotel with 150 rooms in Arlandastad, close to Arlanda Airport, which was previously operated under the name First Hotel Arlanda.

This is stated in a press release published in connection with Tuesday's quarterly report from the troubled hotel chain.

A 15-year lease agreement has been signed with the property owner Arlandastad Holding, controlled by financier Per Taube. The rent will be turnover-based, something that has been agreed upon in light of the pandemic.

The hotel was built in 2015 and has been closed for the past few months after the previous hotel operator went bankrupt. Scandic expects to open the hotel in January.

As the hotel is said to be modern and in good condition, Scandic's initial investment will be limited to rebranding and rebranding to Scandic.
