SJ has, to say the least, had a turbulent winter with a large number of cancellations and several delays.

Now they are apologising to their customers in an email.

”There are many reasons for this, and I want to start by saying that all of you customers and the entire Swedish people deserve something better, quite simply a railway that can be relied upon,” writes CEO Monica Lingegård in an email.

She explains that it has been the worst winter for the Swedish railway in ten years.

”I don't want to pass the buck. SJ has a great deal of responsibility for the situation we are in. We are in the process of compiling and learning from this winter to avoid the same situation in future winters as much as possible,” Lingegård further writes in the email.
