SJ Norge will run the new luxury train, the Norient Express, which is owned by NLE AS. Norwegian Railway Authority SJT has received clearance for traffic and estimates that the Norient Express has a maximum annual capacity of 3,000 travellers.

The Norient Express is presented as a complete holiday trip with specially built trains between Bergen and Trondheim. The trains are intended to function as hotel accommodation, catering, spa, education, and office spaces, among other things.

The concept will be launched in autumn 2025 and promises a unique travel experience. In total, two trains have had their interiors made from natural materials and have been updated with, among other things, a gym and an observatory.

The journey begins in Bergen, goes southeast through Oslo and then north to Trondheim over six days.

The tickets will be sold for approximately EUR 5,500 per person, which includes transport, accommodation, food, and drinks.
