”"Where is my train?" is a new function that shows the geographical position and current speed in real time for all SJ trains that are on the move.

It also gives the traveler the opportunity to see the position and speed of trains that have not yet left the starting destination, provided that the journey is to take place in the near future. The function can be tested in the SJ Labs app.

It is already possible today in the SJ app and on sj.se to see a train's geographical position for departures that are operated as Fast Trains or Double Deckers. On sj.se you can also in some cases see the current speed for these trains. But now as a traveler you can test a more precise information display. The function also includes SJ's procured traffic such as Trains in Bergslagen and West Trains.

– We believe this will especially help you as a train commuter, as it will now be possible to see where the train is and whether it is moving even before it leaves its starting station. We want as much feedback as possible so that we can sharpen the function even more, says Clas Lindholtz, Head of Business Development at SJ.
