This winter, a new flight route will open between the Netherlands and Scandinavian Mountains Airport, which is located adjacent to Skistar's facilities in Sälen and Trysil. This is according to a press release.

During the upcoming winter season, from December 17 to March 14, Dutch BBI-Travel will fly between Groningen and Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Dalarna.

Scandinavian Mountains Airport was inaugurated in December last year and is located adjacent to Skistar ski resorts in Sälen and Trysil, Norway.

”"For several years now, we have seen a demand from Dutch people who love snow and winter sports to spend more time at our destinations. By being able to offer fantastic nature, good service and health-promoting activities in combination with shorter travel times, we become an even stronger international destination that seriously competes with any ski resort in the world," says Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO of Skistar, in a press release.

The airport was served last season by flights to several southern Swedish cities as well as to London, Copenhagen and Aalborg.
