Primera Air, which has flown the majority of Solresor's charter program, filed for bankruptcy in early October, which meant that the work of finding new partners was at a high pressure.
– Since Primera Air's bankruptcy, we have worked hard to secure new flights for our travelers and it has now borne fruit. We are proud to be able to present expanded cooperation with two really good airlines that deliver the high-quality service that our travelers demand, says Torbjörn Lehmann, Commercial Manager.
The new agreements apply to flight solutions to several of the Canary Islands with departures from Gothenburg with SAS and from Stockholm with Norwegian. For travelers from southern Sweden, there are also flight solutions from Copenhagen with SAS and Norwegian, and from Copenhagen Solresor has a partnership with several airlines.
– Norwegian will fly to our biggest winter destination, La Palma, and we have also secured flights to Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura. The new agreements mean we can do what we do best – send happy travelers on vacation, says Lehmann.
Solresor flies all winter with SAS and Norwegian and is expected to send 30,000 travelers on vacation from October to April. Solresor is the only tour operator in Sweden with direct flights to the beautiful Canary Island of La Palma. Norwegian flies from Stockholm to Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Tenerife. Norwegian will also fly to La Palma from both Stockholm and Gothenburg. From Gothenburg, Solresor flies with SAS to Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Tenerife. For travelers in southern Sweden, Solresor has flight solutions from Copenhagen with SAS and Norwegian completely ready, but also a collaboration with several other airlines.
