The MUSE Hotel Awards is an international competition founded in 2015 by International Awards Associate. The award is designed to honor exceptional hotels with a high level of hospitality and eye-catching design. The MUSE Hotel Awards pit industry-leading international players in hotel and hotel design against each other. The award goes to the most creative effort that helps inspire more people to continue pushing the boundaries and take the hotel industry forward.
The unique destination Steam Hotel wins gold in the "destination hotel" category in tough competition from Swedish as well as international hotel players.

The 100-year-old steam power plant was renovated and restored to become the Steam Hotel in 2017. Located on Lake Mälaren in Västerås, only 55 minutes from Stockholm. With its 263 rooms, 16 conference rooms and two restaurants, Steam has had a consistently high occupancy rate of approximately 96% throughout the year. Steam was most recently nominated in the prestigious competition ”Stora Turismpriset” and is mentioned in major magazines both nationally and internationally.
