SAS traffic continues to suffer after the coronavirus pandemic. The number of passengers and capacity decreased by 74 and 73 percent respectively in August compared to the same period last year.
Since July, there has been a small increase in the number of passengers of 12,000.

”"During the autumn, we intend to increase the number of flights and open more routes, as demand returns. Primarily, we will resume domestic traffic in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, but we are also opening 18 routes to important destinations in Europe. We also plan to start traffic to Asia and thus be able to offer flights to all three continents on which we normally operate," says Rickard Gustafson, CEO of SAS.
In scheduled traffic, RPK, revenue passenger kilometers, decreased by 83 percent year-on-year and intercontinental RPK decreased by 97 percent.
The number of seat kilometers fell by 71 percent to 1,304 million. The cabin factor was 47 percent.
