Swedavia is selling two land-owning companies within Airport City Gothenburg at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. The buyer is Zeppelin Sverige AB, exclusive dealer for Caterpillar Inc. in Sweden. To meet the continued strong demand for logistics properties, Swedavia is planning to develop an additional approximately 350,000 square meters of warehouse and logistics space. The sale is in line with Swedavia's strategy to create value through successful airport-related property development to reinvest in the development and competitiveness of airports.

Airport City Gothenburg has the vision of being a cutting-edge airport city with opportunities for tomorrow's companies to operate and grow. At the heart of Airport City Gothenburg is Logistics Park 1, a center for the logistics of the future. Swedavia is now selling two land-owning companies in the area to Zeppelin Sverige AB. On a total land area of approximately 32,000 square meters, Zeppelin plans to establish the Swedish headquarters with approximately 100 workplaces together with a modern, multifunctional and flexible service facility that will be a comprehensive base for all of Zeppelin's operations in the western region.

– We are pleased that Zeppelin has chosen to establish itself in the middle of an optimal logistics hub next to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport with proximity to the airport, to the region's largest cities Gothenburg and Borås, to the Port of Gothenburg and also to the major road networks. With its international character, Zeppelin will fit well into the mix of companies that are now establishing themselves here. We are now planning a Logistics Park 2 to meet the strong demand, says Stefan Stenberg, CEO of Swedavia Real Estate.

Logistics Park 1 is Airport City Gothenburg's first logistics park, covering a total of 150,000 square meters of warehouse and logistics space. State-of-the-art logistics properties have been built here, tailored to customer needs. During 2019-2020, Postnord TPL, Rajapack, Vätterleden Logistik and Dawa Däck, among others, have established themselves in the area.

– Thanks to the chosen location, we can aim for regional expansion as more people can use the facility from a larger catchment area. It will be easier than ever to get to us regardless of the mode of transport. The idea is that the building will be environmentally certified and the Zeppelin Group is working purposefully to ensure that all strategic business units will be CO2-neutral by 2030, both in terms of premises and operations, says Volker Poßögel, CEO of Zeppelin Nordics and Zeppelin Sverige AB.

The next step in the development of Airport City Gothenburg is Logistics Park 2, which is in the planning phase. To meet tomorrow's needs for large, modern and efficient warehouse and logistics buildings, a detailed plan for the development of approximately 350,000 square meters of logistics facilities will be prepared.

The transfer to Zeppelin took place on July 1 for an underlying property value of approximately SEK 39.8 million.
