Fresh search data shows that Swedes seem to want a more luxurious travel experience this fall. In addition to searches for five-star hotels rising, searches for first class airfare have also increased, up around 19 percent for fall 2023, compared to the previous year*.
– Ahead of autumn travel, Swedish travelers are looking for more luxurious stays and seem willing to spend more. But a more luxurious stay does not necessarily mean more expensive prices. *Data is based on flight and hotel searches made on momondo.se during the period January 1, 2023-August 15, 2023, for flights departing between September 15, 2023-November 30, 2023, compared to flight and hotel searches made during the same period for flights departing between June 1, 2023-August 31, 2023. All flight searches are for return flights in economy class. Prices are averages and may change over time. Percentages are approximate.
