Two Swedish tourists have fallen ill after eating poisonous mushrooms on a mountain trip in Aurland in western Norway, reports NRK.

They must now be rescued from the mountain.

The tourists are part of a tour group, and the emergency services received the alarm during the night of Wednesday.

– A group of four spent the night in a tent. Two of them had stomach problems after eating mushrooms, says Stian Loven at the Red Cross, to NRK.

Since seven o'clock they have been working to get them down from the mountain. Now they want to take them to the nearest road.

– It is very rare that we have missions due to fungus. It is usually exhaustion, broken bones or people who have gotten lost, says Loven.
