Taxi Stockholm is proud to present its sustainability report for 2023. The report shows a significant increase in electric vehicles in the company's fleet. At the end of 2023, our fleet consisted of 36% electric vehicles. This compares to 17 % electric vehicles a year earlier.
– This is a big step towards our goal of becoming Sweden's most environmentally friendly taxi company. We have also decided that we will only purchase emission-free vehicles in order to drive development further. Our goal is to create an emission-free vehicle fleet before 2030, and as it stands today, we have the opportunity to reach halfway in our goal as early as 2024, says Johan Porsman, Sustainability Manager at Taxi Stockholm.
In its pursuit of a sustainable transition, Taxi Stockholm has chosen to focus on investing in electric cars.
– The reason we are primarily switching to electric cars is because combustion engines emit greenhouse gases and other harmful particles that can, among other things, affect inner-city air. We avoid that with electric cars, Johan continues.
The sustainability report also shows that the company has introduced new procedures for recycling and reuse of IT equipment and office supplies, further strengthening its commitment to minimizing its environmental impact and supporting a more circular economy.

According to the Sustainable Brand Index 2024, Taxi Stockholm has been ranked as the most sustainable brand in the taxi industry in Sweden according to consumers. This study is the largest independent survey in Europe focusing on sustainable branding.
