SJ has announced that the evening train between Mora and Stockholm, which was previously cancelled due to a shortage of rolling stock, will now be back in service during the Vasaloppet weekends. This has been made possible thanks to the maintenance efforts and the concentrated work carried out in SJ's workshops and depots.

The Stockholm train from Mora, departing at 18:24, is a popular way to get home for both Vasaloppet skiers and Öppet Spår participants. Therefore, SJ has mobilised and deployed resources to offer these travellers the opportunity to travel home by train after completing Vasaloppet.

– We are pleased that the evening train between Mora and Stockholm will be back in service in time for Öppet spår and Vasaloppet. Our colleagues have worked hard to be able to deliver this popular departure to our customers, despite the challenges that the harsh winter has brought, says Martin Drakenberg, business manager at SJ.

The train will be available for booking via SJ.se and in the SJ app from 6 February. Travellers who had a booked journey on one of these departures previously will be contacted by SJ.
