Flooding has occurred in several places, including Mora in Dalarna County.

During the day, a fairly large area has been affected by both thunderstorms and heavy downpours in Mora, Northern Dalarna. 

– At a grocery store, it was flooded both inside the store and in the garage below. There was so much that we couldn't handle it ourselves, so we had to get there partly with water vacuum cleaners but also with our pumps, says Johan Szymanski, rescue manager for the Northern Dalarna Fire Department.

A front has passed over southern Sweden this morning and is now moving up towards the central and northern parts of the country. 

The most precipitation has fallen in Mora and Gävle – 24.2 mm and 18 mm respectively.

Right now, some rain showers with heavy thunderstorms are moving across Dalarna, Gävleborg, Västernorrland and the inland of Västerbotten and Norrbotten. 

– It is starting to subside in the southern parts where we have had risks issued. For example, in Östergötland and also in Sörmland, Västmanland and Uppsala counties it will subside more and more during the rest of the afternoon and evening, says Max Lindberg Stoltz, meteorologist at SMHI.
