The signal fault on the western main line has now been fixed, the Swedish Transport Administration announced shortly before 11 pm on Sunday evening.
– It's full speed again, traffic has started to move and the delays will be reduced within half an hour, says Marita Vedin at the Swedish Transport Administration's press service.
A major signal failure at Östansjö, south of Hallsberg, occurred shortly after 4 p.m. and led to major delays in train traffic, mainly on the tracks between Stockholm and Gothenburg.
