Police in Germany are investigating sabotage after a huge train crash in northern Germany on Saturday morning, German newspaper reports Picture.
Early Saturday morning, thousands of train passengers were affected by a train stop in Hamburg.
According to information from Bild and Sonntag, the police suspect that the train stop was caused by external influences.
"Due to sabotage of cables, which are indispensable for train traffic, Deutsche Bahn had to stop train traffic in the north for almost three hours this morning," a spokesperson for Deutsche Bahn told Bild.
Knowing how to access the system requires special knowledge, the newspaper further writes.
There is currently no information about any suspects. The investigation is being led by Germany's federal police.
