The Halmstad company Nordic Travel Clearing, which has developed and operates the travel industry's largest payment platform, becomes part of Nordtech Group ("Nordtech"). Nordtech is a software group that focuses on acquiring and growing proven and profitable SaaS companies in the Nordics.

Travel Clearing is something of a hidden gem in both the travel industry and the West Coast business community. Yet, travel payments from thousands of companies and authorities are processed through the company's solution and it is the market leader in the industry.

20 years after its start in 2002, the company is now being acquired by Nordtech Group. Nordtech acquires and refines Nordic software companies and founders Pål Hodann and Nils Bergman have solid experience in building and developing companies. In addition to the founders, Nordtech has investors such as Nicklas Storåkers, former principal owner of Pricerunner, Åsa Risberg, former partner at EQT, Karl-Johan Persson, chairman of H&M and Axis founder Martin Gren.

– Nordtech is exactly the kind of owner we dreamed of, says Andreas Brase, CEO and founder of Travel Clearing. They understand what we do and share our vision and have no intention of going in and controlling the details. At the same time, we become part of a group with both muscle, network, expertise and experience in making companies like ours grow.

Travel Clearing's system has in many ways revolutionized how payments are made in the travel industry.

– You could say that we make both travel invoices and company cards unnecessary.

– Payments at hotels and travel agencies are made in a way that every detail goes directly into the correct place in the buyer's financial system. At the same time, the seller receives their payment directly.

Travel Clearing currently has approximately 14,000 customers in Europe and 30 people work at the head office in Halmstad.

– We think the team at Travel Clearing has had a fantastic journey and offers their customers a product that provides clear value to all stakeholders. We look forward to working together to continue developing and growing the company together, says Nils Bergman, partner at Nordtech.
