After standing still outside Hyllie station in Malmö in the heat with the doors closed, the travelers finally took matters into their own hands.

Passengers opened the doors and evacuated themselves.
Jenny Sköld, who commutes to work in Copenhagen daily, has just managed to get off the train and tells TT how the heat quickly rose in the overcrowded train.

– There was no oxygen, so someone told someone else to pull the emergency brake so that the doors could be opened, she says and continues:
– Then several people started dropping out.

The reason for the standstill was that the train had lost power, says Skånetrafiken's press officer Mark Fenzel, who cannot confirm whether passengers evacuated themselves. The emergency services are currently on site.
– What was done was to evacuate as quickly as possible. But it is the Swedish Transport Administration that makes the plan for evacuation, it took too long, he tells TT.

According to Fenzel, Skånetrafiken should provide feedback to the Swedish Transport Administration.
– In some cases, you probably need to review how quickly you need to evacuate.
