It is replacing its entire Nordic aircraft fleet, an important step in shaping the future of travel. A total of five new aircraft have been ordered for the Nordic region, the first of which arrived at Stockholm Arlanda on Tuesday night.

– The name change from Fritidsresor to TUI was a symbolic step we took towards becoming the next generation tour operator. Updating our aircraft fleet is another step in that direction. This is a major investment to help shape the future of travel. The Nordic countries are first with the new aircraft

TUI Group has made major investments in its own aircraft fleet, totaling 72 new 737 MAX 8 and 10. The Nordic market, together with the Belgian market, will be the first to receive the new aircraft. The American manufacturer Boeing is behind the production of the 737 MAX, the fastest-selling aircraft model in Boeing's history.

TUI Fly will primarily use the new aircraft for its shorter flights within Europe, replacing the 737 NG aircraft currently in use. The routes and airports served by the new flights will be announced later this year as more of the new aircraft arrive in the Nordic region.
