Two climate activists are being charged with violating the Aviation Act after they delayed a plane en route from Gothenburg to Stockholm in June this year, writes Göteborgs-Posten.

The two men boarded the plane with the other passengers but then refused to obey the captain's order to sit down and fasten their seat belts. Instead, they read a written speech about the climate crisis and a protest against the government using taxpayer money to bail out the airline industry.

The men broadcast the roughly five-minute protest live online before guards escorted them off the plane. One of them now tells GP that he believes the two acted in a fit of emergency.
