Viking Line sells M/S Mariella

Viking Line is selling M/S Mariella for nearly 200 million SEK to Corsica Ferries with the intention of "strengthening the company's financial position".

The company states in a press release that the sale of M/S Mariella is a "step in strengthening the company's financial position.".

The total sales price amounts to EUR 19.6 million, equivalent to SEK 198 million. The vessel's book value as of March 31, 2021 was EUR 5.7 million. 

The sale is being carried out as a bareboat hire/purchase arrangement and does not result in any layoffs of personnel.
