Baggage handlers at SAS ground handling at Kastrup went on a short, wild strike on Saturday morning, according to Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji, SAS press manager.
– In Danish, it's called ”unlawful work stoppage,” she explains.
The work officially ceased at 07:30 and resumed again an hour and a half later.
Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji says the strike caused some delays.
– It caused some delays and meant we had to send off some flights without luggage. I don't have a figure on how many are affected. Our full focus is now on getting operations back up and running.
Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji does not know why the baggage handlers stopped working.
– I don't know why this was done. But we expect this to be addressed in contract negotiations and not for dissatisfaction to be handled in this way.
