Winn Hotel Group acquires the operating company for Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa from current owner Christer Kjellner.

Winn Hotel Group continues to grow and has signed an agreement to acquire the Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa facility. Since its reopening in 2020, the facility has developed from a classic health resort dating back to the 18th century to a modern resort that today offers a hotel, restaurant, conference, spa, golf and its own church with an associated party room. The resort is located in Skaraborg between Vänern and Vättern and has undergone extensive renovation in recent years and currently manages over 335 beds spread over 186 rooms and a total of 15,000 square meters of commercial space. Winn Hotel Group owns, operates and develops hotels and Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa will be the chain's 12th hotel in its portfolio of city and destination hotels.

The sale has been made possible through advice from Annordia. Winn Hotel Group will take over the operations in Lundsbrunn as of April 2, 2024. The organization on site in Lundsbrunn is not affected by the acquisition.

Rickard Bender CEO Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa
”"Since the restart of the facility in 2020, when extensive renovations were made, we have gradually developed the business with new products and travel reasons. With Winn Hotel Group as the new owner, we now have an owner with extensive experience in profitable hotel operations and development of destination hotels, which gives us the opportunity to take the next step in the development of the facility. In addition, it feels extra good that our current owner Christer Kjellner remains as property owner."”

Christer Kjellner former owner Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa
”"I am so incredibly proud of what the team at Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa has achieved and done with the facility in a short time. Now, in my role as property owner, I look forward to following the continued work of realizing the vision of making Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa the obvious meeting place for the entire region.".

Anders Junger, President and CEO of Winn Hotel Group
”"When we had the opportunity to acquire the Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa operating company, there was no doubt about finding a common solution with Christer Kjellner as the facility in Lundsbrunn has so far done everything right to develop into a complete and well-visited resort. Lundsbrunn has a good location in the middle of Sweden and with several travel guides in the portfolio and a well-established organization in place, everything feels right in this situation to acquire Lundsbrunn Resort & Spa. We are both happy and excited when we now make Lundsbrunn part of the Winn family.

Winn Hotel Group plans to grow significantly in the coming years through acquisitions and new construction. The ambition is to grow with continued high levels of guest and employee satisfaction in order to remain one of Sweden's best-regarded hotel groups. We look forward to, together with the existing organization in place in Lundsbrunn, taking the facility to the next level, Anders continues"”

According to the press release.
