Norse Atlantic Airways recorded its highest unit revenue ever in its own route network in July. Revenue per available seat kilometer (TRASK) amounted to 7.1 US cents, which was an increase of 27 percent compared to July 2025.

According to the airline, the development was driven by strong demand for direct routes across the Atlantic, higher average ticket prices and popular additional flights in connection with the World Cup.

– Norse delivered record unit revenue for the second consecutive month, driven by our attractive product, strong customer demand on direct transatlantic routes and our very popular World Cup flights, says Eivind Roald, CEO of Norse.

Almost full flights

The cabin factor for scheduled traffic and ACMI/charter operations reached 98.5 percent, compared to 94.0 percent a year earlier.

At the same time, total available capacity decreased by 31 percent compared to July 2025. Norse states that the continued high fuel prices have led the company to optimize the route network to reduce costs.

Total traveled 139,172 passengers with Norse during the month, including ACMI and charter traffic. This represents a decrease of 32 percent compared to 203,712 passengers in July last year.

Norse carried out 248 flights in the company's own route network or 247 ACMI and charter flights.

Can insert more US flights

The company now sees opportunities to increase capacity again as fuel prices have started to fall while demand remains strong. According to Eivind Roald, this could include more flights to New York and Orlando in the coming months.

Norse operated all scheduled flights in July. 70 percent of departures on its own route network departed within 15 minutes of schedule. Punctuality was affected by, among other things, delays in air traffic control, congestion at airports and the aftereffects of the conflict in the Middle East.

According to the press release.
