American Delta Air Lines reports revenue and adjusted net income for the first quarter of 2026 above analyst expectations according to consensus from S&P Global Market Intelligence.

At the same time, Delta Air Lines announced that the company is reducing its growth plans in the near future due to increased fuel costs.

The American airline forecasts that adjusted earnings per share for the second quarter will come in at $1.00-$1.50, which is below analyst estimates.

Delta Air Lines forecasts that pre-tax profit for the second quarter will be about $1 billion. The company's own refinery, where crude oil is converted into jet fuel and other products, is expected to contribute $300 million.

The stock rose 12.6 percent in pre-market trading on Wall Street, just over 2.5 hours before opening.
