After a three-week layover and drydocking, Baltic Princess will return to regular service from today, March 19, 2025. During the layover, the ship has undergone an extensive renovation of its passenger spaces. Travelers can now enjoy upgraded shops, a revamped restaurant and a stylishly redesigned cocktail bar.

Baltic Princess, which operates on the Turku-Stockholm route, has recently undergone a renovation at the BLRT Turku Repair Yard in Naantali, Finland, worth approximately eight million euros. Almost half of this investment, close to four million euros, has been spent on renewing some of the most important passenger areas.
– We are really looking forward to welcoming passengers back to an upgraded Baltic Princess! We have placed extra focus on improving the most important passenger spaces to further enhance the travel experience. The improvements are already noticeable upon boarding, where restaurants and shops have been given a new design that creates both smoother service and a more pleasant overall experience for our guests, says Taru Backman, Chief Executive Officer at Baltic Princess.
Improvements to the main passenger areas include:
Renewed shopping experience and duty-free shops
- The entire shopping area has been redesigned to provide better accessibility and a smoother experience between stores.
- The duty-free store has been equipped with self-checkout machines and a new tasting area where customers can discover selected products and promotions.
- The perfume & cosmetics store has two spacious entrances and a more open connection to the Gifts & Kids store, creating an airier and more inviting environment.
A whole new restaurant experience
- Grill House, one of the ship's most popular restaurants, has undergone an impressive transformation and now offers a blend of elegant design, warm natural materials and an inviting atmosphere across its almost 400 square meters.
- The Piano Bar, the ship's cocktail bar, has been given an elegant and sophisticated new look that combines modern design with timeless elegance and a touch of Art Deco.
The new design has been developed by the Finnish design agencies Franz Design, Aprocos Interior Design and Design Studio Marjut Nousiainen.
