Charter giant Ving, owned by Petter Stordalen, cancels the remaining summer trips to Greece, writes Aftonbladet. Around 3,000 travelers are affected by the announcement.

Ving states that the background to the measures is that Greece now requires every Swede arriving in the country to present a new negative corona test. The decision applies from Monday, August 17. According to TT, around 3,000 people have booked tickets for the canceled trips.

”"There has been a bit of back and forth, but with this short notice, we have made the assessment that the rest of the summer's trips will be cancelled, unfortunately," says Ving's head of communications Fredrik Henriksson to Aftonbladet.

Earlier on Thursday, Ving announced that all Swedish cabin crew in the group's airline Sunclass Airlines will be laid off. This decision affects 175 employees. Negotiations have also begun in Denmark. There, 200 employees are expected to be laid off.
