Finnair's CFO Pia Aaltonen-Forsell is leaving the company for a position with another employer. At the same time, the airline has appointed Jussi Siitonen as its new CFO, effective November 1, 2026.
Siitonen most recently comes from Fiskars Group, where he was CFO and Vice President. Since 2024, he has also served on Finnair's board of directors, a position he is leaving in connection with the appointment.
– I would like to thank Pia for her efforts during her time at Finnair and wish her all the best in the future. At the same time, I welcome Jussi to the company. He has long and broad experience from consumer-oriented operations and complements our management team in an excellent way. Through his work on the board, he already has a deep understanding of our strategy and industry, says Finnair CEO Turkka Kuusisto.
Jussi Siitonen looks forward to taking over responsibility for the airline's finances.
– For over a hundred years, Finnair has connected Finland with the rest of the world through its extensive route network. Through my work on the board, I am well aware of the high ambitions the company has. My task as CFO will be to ensure that the financial foundation corresponds to that level, he says.
