First Camp, Scandinavia's largest camping chain, continues to see good investment opportunities and is investing in a large number of investment projects in 2024.

In recent years, First Camp has successfully invested in both increased accommodation capacity, a larger range of activities and improvements to the standard of the chain's 70 destinations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Demand for new accommodation capacity has been strong also in 2023 and the company sees many business opportunities ahead. The board of First Camp Group AB has therefore, with the support of the company's main owner Norvestor, decided to carry out a new share issue of initially up to SEK 100 million. Norvestor has informed First Camp that Norvestor will guarantee a capital injection of up to a total of SEK 145 million, including the initial issue, depending on First Camp's capital needs. The capital injection enables major investments in the investment plan for 2024 and also facilitates the management of seasonal fluctuations in liquidity.

The investment plan includes around ten projects to expand capacity with both new camping sites and accommodation in studios and cabins. Among other things, more cabins are planned at Leksand Strand and new camping sites at First Camp Arcus – Luleå and First Camp Skutberget – Karlstad.

The plan also includes continued efforts to convert First Camp's energy supply at campsites acquired in recent years, from fossil-based heating to heat pumps.

”"We have a long list of investment opportunities and corresponding projects have previously delivered strong results, also in 2023. It feels very good that our owners continue to show great confidence in First Camp and the opportunities we see in the market. In parallel with this investment plan, we continue to look at acquiring more destinations,", says Johan Söör, CEO of First Camp.

According to a press release.
