Jeanette Sandberg has been appointed as the new CEO of Kolmården and will take office on May 1. She succeeds Christine Karmfalk, who after seven years in the position is choosing to leave for new challenges. With a solid background in the hospitality industry and several successful years in the company, Jeanette Sandberg is ready to take on the role and lead the business into the next chapter.
Jeanette Sandberg has been appointed as the new CEO of Kolmården. On May 1, she will succeed Christine Karmfalk, who after seven years in the position wants to do something new.
– It is with mixed feelings that I have chosen to leave my position. It has been fantastic fun and I am proud of what we have achieved over the years. At the same time, I feel ready and it feels very safe that it is Jeanette Sandberg that I am handing over to. She is incredibly talented and I am so impressed by what Jeanette has achieved during the years we have worked together, says Christine Karmfalk.
– Christine Karmfalk has made an invaluable contribution to Kolmården. Thanks to her broad knowledge and strong drive, the park has developed fantastically, despite the pandemic and tough years for households. Today, we have a Kolmården that is stronger than ever and I really want to thank Christine for this. Now we welcome Jeanette, an incredibly skilled leader who I have been able to follow from the sidelines in recent years, says Parks and Resorts CEO Christer Fogelmarck.
Jeanette Sandberg has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, most recently as business area manager at Kolmården with responsibility for Vildmarkshotellet and the park's business units. Under Jeanette's leadership, Vildmarkshotellet has established itself as both a popular conference hotel and a popular destination for families with children and park visitors. At the beginning of the year, a completely unique dining experience was inaugurated in the hotel's restaurant and a newly renovated Bath & Spa with infinity pool, Vildmarkskällan, with a view of Bråviken.
– Kolmården has taken me by storm since I joined in 2019. There is such a breadth of opportunities here and enormous commitment from everyone who works. I am truly humbled by the task and it will be an honor to lead this destination together with our fantastic employees, says Jeanette Sandberg.
