After 11 successful years at Comfort Hotel, Jostein Rajala is now taking the next step in his career – as hotel director at Quality Hotel Globe in Stockholm.
Jostein began his career in the hospitality industry at the age of 22 in the reception and conference department at Quality Airport Hotel Gardermoen. After a few years in the restaurant industry and a four-year hotel education in Australia, he returned to Strawberry, this time as Barception Manager at Comfort Hotel Xpress Youngstorget in Oslo.
Shortly thereafter, he became hotel director at the same hotel and has since led several successful openings: Comfort Hotel Kista and Sweden's largest airport hotel, Comfort Hotel Arlanda Airport. Under his leadership, the hotels have experienced strong growth and development.
– After 11 years within Comfort, it feels exciting to return to the Quality chain and more specifically the fantastic Quality Hotel Globe. We will continue to prioritize quality and service in everything we do, and my role is to ensure both the hotel's success and that the team has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am proud of the trust and happy to continue growing within the company, says Jostein Rajala.
– Jostein is a fantastic hotelier who drives continuous improvements, without compromising on either guest or team satisfaction. His commitment and leadership are exactly what Quality Hotel Globe needs to continue to develop, says Susanna Ståhl, Director of Operations, Quality Hotel.
Jostein replaces Tina Hedman, who is moving on to the role of Head of Schools within People in the full-service division at Strawberry's headquarters. Both will take up their new roles on January 1, 2026.
