Copper theft causes new train disruption

Several trains between Gothenburg and Vänersborg have been canceled for the second day in a row due to copper theft, reports SVT Nyheter Väst.

On Thursday night, a new theft occurred just one kilometer from the location where copper theft from the overhead lines stopped train traffic for much of Wednesday.

”"It is unusual for it to happen this frequently," says Västtrafik's press spokesperson Patrik Chi to SVT.

Västtrafik urges its passengers to follow the traffic information on their website and app.
