SJ's night train to Duved left Malmö yesterday just after 5 p.m.
The train was due to arrive in Duved at 08:32 – but due to a locomotive failure, the train has been stationary in Ljusdal since 05:00 this morning.
– The atmosphere on board is acceptable, all things considered, says Peter Kraméus, SJ's press spokesperson.
According to SJ, there is heating, food and drink on the train.
– It's located at the station so the staff can also refill it.
A train from Stockholm is on its way with a new locomotive that is to be attached. Once that is done, the train can continue without further obstruction.
