Starting today, Norway is slowly starting to reopen society. Children can start preschool, people can start traveling within the country, and some businesses can reopen.
Norway's preschools are reopening after being closed since March 12. However, many parents have announced that they will continue to keep their children at home, partly out of fear of spreading the infection, reports the news agency NTB.
One of the government's goals is for all children to be back in school before the summer. The reopening will be done in stages, with students in grades 1–4 starting next week.
On Monday, certain health clinics will also be allowed to reopen. These include dentists, psychologists, physiotherapists and opticians, according to NTB.
Norwegians are now also allowed to go to their country houses in other municipalities, as the so-called cabin ban is lifted.
